I have a BA in Speech Communications from the University of Minnesota, with a related focus on Cultural Studies/Comparative Literature and Child Psychology.
I have had extensive training at Voice One - the esteemed voice over academy in San Francisco - where I completed all of the core and advanced classes for Commercial, Narration and Character VO tracks.
I am an active member of the GVAA community (Global Voice Acting Academy).
I have studied with many noteworthy industry professionals, such as Elaine Clark, Anne Ganguzza, David Rosenthal, Sarah Kliban, Dave Fennoy, Tom Chantler, Kathy Garver, Bob Wood, John Crane, Mary Lynn Wissner and Everette Oliver.
I attend Improv classes in the SF Bay Area.

And even as a high school senior, I placed 1st in a state competition for Group Interpretation - a performing arts activity that allows students to interpret and perform a piece of literature without the use of costumes, props, or scenery - only the inflection of your voice. I was always meant to do this. :)
I have my own recording studio, with a fully treated recording environment. I use an Audio Technica 2020 mic w/pop filter, and a MacBook Air, with Audacity recording and editing software.
I also have a professional relationship with the Voice One Recording Studio in San Francisco - a 10' x 6 1/2' booth used for voice casting, client production, and voice-over demos. Voices are recorded and mixed in Logic Pro 9, and there is an extensive music and sound effects library. Elaine Clark is the chief recording engineer and talent director.
While I was studying at University, I worked part-time as a Pharmacy Technician, and I am not intimidated by big, long, complicated medical terms and products.
I am also a certified sommelier and trained chef, and therefore I can navigate through intimidating culinary and oenology text with ease.
