My pursuit of voice over opportunities is strictly at the recommendation of friends, acquaintances and even strangers who so often comment on my "beautiful" or "delightful" or "radio" voice. I record voicemail greetings for friends and their business phone systems. I'm quite a character with much life experience from life in "the 'hood" to life in the highest intellectual pursuits (technology, philosophy, literature, etc.). I have no experience in professional voiceover work, but I have an undeniably attractive and desirable voice for the work in any number of genres.
My voice is a natural talent apparently with no conscious effort expended by me to manipulate or exploit it. I am conscious of my voice, however, and do modify it under particular situations where it is natural to do so, i.e. reading a story to a child, reading literature to adults, answering a business telephone, interviewing for job positions, telling stories to friends and so forth.
I am a career technologist and therefore expert in technology topics and subjects. I am also an avid reader of history, literature, philosophy, theology, and non-fiction. I would be excellent doing voiceover for novels on tape/CD, science shows, documentaries, technology presentations, interviewing and so forth.
