I began a career in post-production at a company editing TV commercials, called Whitehouse Post. There, I understood the importance and power of voiceover in commercials, film, and radio. My first commercial was for Burlington Coat Factory, and soon after landing it, I began receiving requests from other advertising agency producers about my availability.
Having experience in the editor's chair has worked to my advantage because I fully understand the importance of correct timing, pacing, and overall feel of the commercial.
I'm very personable, yet highly professional.
Other experiences include singing original folk and blues music- both in the studio, and at local venues. I'm very comfortable inside a booth. I know my range, and take direction very well.
I graduated from University of Colorado, Boulder with a BFA in Film Studies.
There, I took many production courses, often directing and writing behind the camera while also acting in front of camera.
I began singing/songwriting original music, and performed in many cafes.
In New York, I trained at Carrie Fahverty's Voiceover Program.
I have a mac blue snowball USB microphone, and have easy access to a TASCAM DR-100MK2 Linear PCM Recorder and Neutrik Boom Microphone.
I am extremely personable, yet highly professional. I take direction very well, and understand the nuances of the voice.
Having experience at a post-production company editing TV commercials, I understand the importance of timing, pacing, and flow of the voiceover within a spot.
I have experience singing live and in the studio, and am very comfortable in the booth.
I have had comedic improv training at the Upright Citizens Brigade theater, and therefore, am able to do quick, witty thinking on the spot.
