I was once the 10th ranked slam poet in the world. I've been everywhere in the U.S. performing poetry and doing various types of stage acting, as well as a few background gigs in movies in T.V. I've recorded my voice in myriad ways in studios for 20 years, and 99% of the time I'm the engineer/producer.
A couple fun projects I was involved with that I was NOT producing were video games - Axis And Allies, Kohan, Kings Of War and an adult Grand Theft Auto knockoff called BoneTown, where I did several Texas and New Mexico accents.
I have a master's degree from Stanford University in Music, Science and Technology. My B.A. is in History with a music minor, and I've been in the music and entertainment industry for over 20 years (my entire career).
I am a professional audio engineer and producer, and my main gig other than voice work and occasional acting is music. I'm the lead vocalist and producer in my circle, and I've worked in every capacity in media and entertainment, from copywriter to stage hand to audio engineer to web developer.
I founded the music company NQuit Music, LLC and I offer our material for licensing and music beds, as well as my voice.
My techno/classical/spoken word fusion act Third Option was called "wicked, totally compelling" by BBC Radio's Annie Nightingale and I've recently released a new project under that name.
I've also recorded plenty of other vocal artists, singers, poets, musicians, voice actors, and I'm adept with editing and production.
I've done performance and writing workshops for all ages as well.
My home studio is simple:
Main vocal mic: AKG 414 large diaphragm condensor
6 art tube preamps, Tascam US1641 audio interface (14 channels at 96khz/24bits), several soft synths and a Casio Privia weighted action 88 key digital piano is my production and live controller. 5 inch powered Fostex monitors and several pairs of Sony MDR-7506 headphones for monitoring. I typically use Cakewalk Sonar Producer Edition and occasionally audacity. My room is acoustically treated.
Mic closet includes several Shure SM-57s, condensors and kick mics. I also occasionally visit other studios, depending on project or budget.
I've also been a professional web developer, copy editor and as head of NQuit Music, I've been involved in every aspect of media production and promotion, including promotion, marketing and strategy.
I also have training in IT, customer service and phone support, as well as onsite technical experience, programming, linux audio, acoustics, stage craft, booking, tour management, studio management, database engineering and troubleshooting.
