I worked as a journalist on Irish radio for more than 10 years, including as a reporter and stand-in presenter, for the country's number one show - Morning Ireland - a highly influential news and current affairs show. Among other things, I produced stand-alone five minute features for the programme, varying in topic from arts and entertainment to hard-hitting news and current affirs.
I've also presented hourly news bulletins on 2FM, RTE's youth-oriented station. I was also a newsreader on several local radio stations, as part of my duties as a senior reporter with INN - a radio news agency providing content to more than 25 stations around Ireland.
I've reported on everything: news, courts, business, economics, sport, arts, entertainment, lifestyle, human interest. And all areas required different intonation, different emphasis and slightly different styles. So I know I can vary my voice to suit the needs of my audience.
