Voice Description

I have been told that I have a versatile voice. I like to play, make sounds, effects, create characters, etc. I think that my natural southern dialect comes out when I need it to, but I have worked hard to keep it under wraps.
I enjoy using my voice and think that my versatility would make me an excellent choice for voiceovers, podcast, commercials, audio books, corporate training, radio, and t.v. etc...

My Voice Experience

I am new to voiceovers, but a veteran at creative arts. I started my career as an actor and have done many exciting roles including classics like Shakespeare. I chose to "retire" and concentrate on theatre design and production. I hold an MFA in Theatrical Design and Production focusing on Scenic, Lighting, and Sound Design. I am waiting for the right role to come out of retirement and tread the boards again.

In addition to my work in the theatre I teach at the collegiate level. Currently I am on the theatre faculty at St. Olaf College in MN.

My Training

I have a BA in Drama and MFA in Theatrical Design and Production.
I have had classes in Voice and Diction and some Dialect work. In college I had classes in public speaking and speech.

I recently completed a workshop with Don Costgrove and the Talent Center.

Additional Skills

I have extensive computer skills on the Macintosh and PC platforms. I use the computer for audio editing and am proficient in ProTools, Bias Peak, and other audio editing and sequencing applications. I am proficient in podcasting and related software.
