I've spent half my life behind a mic doing mostly local radio gigs from the days of tape and vinyl to today's ones and zeros. Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever imagined that I could make audio magic sitting in front of a PC. I certainly don't miss razor blades and splicing tape.
My main deal these days are narratives I write and produce. 2 minute bios made interesting because of who they are or what they've done or both! They air on a couple of stations in town one of which I work for part time.
There's nothing like OJT to hone one's skill in the proper use of that precious instrument in your throat. Singing lessons help you learn proper breathing projection and how to reach down for the power. Years of experience make you believable
You gotta know up front that I'm a Christian man which might disqualify me from certain projects. That being said I have fun with what I do on the radio and my episodic audio excursions I write and produce twice each week.
