Dramatic training and experience from the University of Miami School of Theatre and the early influences of North Miami Beach director Ellen B. Davis gave Tammy Welson Smith the ability to morph into any character she wants to play. Her voice is void of accent, although a slight New York affectation is present because South Florida is rich with New Yorkers. She can easily become a southern belle as well as peppering her speech with many other American accents. She is as well-spoken as Eliza Doolittle after Henry Higgins and as poorly raised as she was before her transformation, if she chooses to be.
