In my early twenties, I met a young man from the UK and had him convinced I had lived in a town not far from his hometown and knew some of the same people. When I finally confessed to being a "yank", he didn't believe me! He thought I was making that up. I have spent may hours reading to youngsters and using "voices" to make the reading more interesting and fun. I have never done anything professionally, but am very interested in this type of work. One of my favorite scenes in a movie is in Mrs. Doubtfire where Robin Williams is doing the voiceover for the cartoon. It's a fascinating field. I love listening to recordings of old radio shows, especially a "mystery theater" show that used to play on a local radio station years ago.
The only "training" I have had is 2 years of high school drama and reading to my daughter and other youngsters.
I love to read aloud and learn various accents. I have nothing else to offer but eagerness and a willingness to learn.
