Voice Description
I am recognized as a motion picture historian and film expert, so I get a good deal of work in DVD special feature packages and I was nominated for Best Commentary in 2004 for my work on "The Great Escape" Special Edition. I can be strong and authoritative, conversational and relaxed and I can be, indeed, smooth and professional. Think of me as a younger version of Robert Osborne and Leonard Maltin.

My Voice Experience
I just completed a 2 and 1/2 hour solo commentary on the latest DVD edition of the Columbia Pictures war film classic "The Guns of Navarone". Together with director Irvin Kershner ("The Empire Strikes Back"), I recently finished the commentary for the 1983 James Bond film, "Never Say Never Again") and I also recently shared the commentary chair with fellow film historian John Cork on the 1967 007 spoof, "Casino Royale." I love movies and popular culture, yet I can talk comfortably on any subject. I love to do narrations and I did the temp track on my own documentary on World War II Marine Hero Guy Gabaldon (although I ended up hiring Freddie Prinze Jr. to do the final.) I do fantastical characters for my kids and I do sound effects as well.
My Training
I spent over 20 years as a motion picture publicist, working for most of the studios and networks. I've written seven film books and I've produced motion pictures and television, but before you think I'm Methusaleh, I have a very young sounding voice.
