Voice Description

I have a very clean, crisp non-accented voice, ranging from high and extremely feminine (soprano) to a deep, husky tone,(alto to the occasional baritone). I can do anything from reading news and technical manuals to providing the warmest, most seductive "adult" read required and pretty much everything in-between. My experience include broadcast news, sports, classic rock, adult contemporary, country radio, as well as highly technical manuals. My radio production experience has afforded me the opportunity to voice for a number of different companies and radio stations all over the country. I currently voice for stations as far ranging as Western Kansas to the Boston/New York/Carolinas. I read Spanish fluently, with as little or as much accent as required, with some ability for regional dialects.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

French, Spanish (of all types) Irish, Scots, Eastern European, including a fairly clear Muscovite and some of the smaller countries. I have a good ear for replicating accents. I can do West Coast, East Coast from Maine to NY. Texas, as well as the softer coastal southern accents. Midwestern of course, with regionalisms from the Dakotas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio and others.

My Voice Experience

My experience has been broad ranging. I've always been asked to read or narrate or m.c., ever since I was very young. I read the newpaper outloud to company when I was three.

I've been in radio in two large time frames, once in the seventies through early eighties, and now in the two thousands. My last position afforded me the opportunity to work with stations and production departments all over the country through production forums or clearing houses, and also have been doing work for several voicing houses. My greatest pleasure has been doing public service work whenever I can, including reading for the blind.

I love a challenge, and am awaiting the next opportunity to work and broaden my skill base.

My Training

Broadcast and Print Journalism in college, as well as vocal music. I've attended a school of broadcasting as well as continually working with vocal and dialect coaches to keep my skills up.

My Studio Equipment

Have my own studio in my home.

Am currently fascinated and working with any and all equipment that allows me to connect directly to my computer via USB. I have Audition, Cubase and Garage Band, though I prefer Audition.

I use Blue,MXL and M Audio mics, some USB, some XLR, depending on the project,though my favorite mic is a Sennheiser R20.

I have a Mackie 12 channel analog board with firewire card for digital recording.

I am proficient with Adobe Audition, Cool Edit and ProTools.
