I started doing voice work in high school, doing spots for our morning announcements. Once in college, I began submitting demos to radio stations. My first big Project was with an Independent short film called "Living on Borrowed Time", where I provided the voice on the radio throughout the film.
Well, since I have a knack for talking during movies, my friends always joked that I should do Documentary, because then I could talk through the movie, and not get popcorn thrown at me...a lot. But I never really had any training for any voice over jobs. As I mentioned, I am a music major, and have quite a bit of performing arts background. Also, I have perfect pitch, which is a rare gift even for musicians.
I don't have a wide range of equipment. Most of my recording is done in a unused bedroom in my apartment. I have a few panels on the walls for acoustics.
I'm recording on a Blue Spark microphone, and using my MacBook Pro for the rest of my hardware. Nothing too fancy, but it gets the job done.
I can sing, and play a mutitude of instruments. I am primarilly a trumpet player, but can pretty much play any brass instrument, and piano.
