To date, I have done sports castings in an academic setting.I have also lent my voice to the IVR systems for Lap O Luxury, Inc. as well as Tha Goodlyfe and Vanitees N Tanks. In addition, I recently began working as the voice for the upcoming Everyday Essentials website. I've recently started my own voice production company called Quintessential Voice (singular, not plural as in voices-that's somebody else)for which I will also lend my voice to the website when it is finished.
I have taken a one on one vocal training with Voices For All. I studied with a pro who is also an opera singer and the voice of many audiobooks, iPhone apps and cartoon characters. The knowledge Leah (Fredrick) infused me with also motivated me to improve my offerings.
I also took the Master Class workshop with Voices For All. My instructor during that intensive seminar is a pro in the field with over 20 years of experience. Mike (Elmore) was very generous in sharing his knowledge, experience and voice-directing skills. After that seminar, he personally coached me as I recorded my demos that are now available for you to hear a sample of my range.
In college, I took speech and acting classes. Robert Blue was my professor and acting coach while I attended Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina (even though I am a Chicago native). This is where I participated in several plays as a Julia B. Duncan Player (College Acting Troop). I must admit, sometimes I surprised myself with my ability to make a scene come to life. I will never forget the first time I performed a scene in Varick Auditorium as a teaser for a play that we would be performing. The reaction I received from the audience at the end of the performance and for many days afterward was very rewarding as many said that my performance moved them and they felt I had a gift.
It all started in middle school when Betty Rowland (RIP) plucked me from class, along with only a few other students. She lined us up and marched us down to the first floor of the building in a room that was reserved for special activities. We all thought we were in trouble when we got down there-only to find out that she'd picked us to put on the school's first stage production of Harriet Tubman! That same year, I was chosen to become the school's first announcer for special events.
I've participated in Improvisation Workshops at Act One studios in Chicago, Ill. I received a Masters Degree in Writing which is another of my passions and I'm currently pursuing 2nd Masters Degree in Communications. It's all about media for me. I love it and I think it loves me back!

I regularly present a business opportunity seeking business partners to join me in my health and wellness company.
I use my professional/corporate voice for the majority of my presentation. At the same time, I have to sound relatable in order to build a relationship because these are potential customers and business partners that I'm presenting the opportunity to. Some say MLM (multi-level marketing) is not really a business opportunity. I say, phooey to them. They have no idea how hard I have to work to make the business look like it isn't really work.
When you're doing something that goes against your true nature, it's definitely work. Even though I love what I do, I honestly feel as though it goes against my true nature to hibernate and seek my own company.
It's difficult to constantly put yourself out there for potential rejection of you and your product. That's something I do every single day.
It's extremely rewarding when my hard work results in a new client because that establishes a new relationship. Even though my nature is akin to that of a loner, I'm no different than most of society who wants to be accepted and appreciated for what I have to offer which is a great product and a great opportunity.
That's another reason why I feel my voice is suited for so many types of projects-I'm more adaptable than most. If you ask for something specific, I will work like there's no tomorrow to make sure I deliver prime results. I like nothing more than to make my clients happy so they will like me and hire me again and again. :)
