My Voice Experience
I am currently attempting to get my foot in the door for VOs. It is something I have wanted to do since I can remember and all family, freinds and co-workers who have ever heard me just messing around have said I have a great talent for it.
I never really thought about it as something that I would be able to do until I met Rodney Saulsberry. He gave me a copy of his book "You can bank on your voice" and from that point is when I decided I can do this.
Jump ahead 4 years and I was still not able to get the contacts I was looking for until I began working for my current company in Merchant (Credit Card) Processing. Our CEO's girlfriend (now wife) was able to get in contact with her freind Terri Apple and I started coaching with Terri immediately.
Now I have my demo and I'm really excited to start in the world of VO.
My Training
Some college at Cal. State Northridge and Cal. Lutheran Univ.
VO coaching from Terri Apple
I have read Rodney Saulsberry's book "You can bank on your voice" twice and am currently reading Terri Apple's book "Making Money in Voice Overs" 2nd ed.
My Studio Equipment
As I am just starting out, I do not have any studio equipment of my own. The closest thing I have is a high end computer mic and some editing software.
Additional Skills
Im a huge video game player. Always have been since I got a nintendo when I was 8.
Most of the voices I have learned from came from emulation of things I hear in the video game world as well as radio and TV.
