Voice Description

"Warm" and "friendly" voice overs are my hallmark, however intense and edgy are also words some of my clients use to describe many projects - as in automotive commercials and event promotions. Also, if you need a believable guy next door type, I do a lot of that type work. I enjoy doing voice overs for on hold messages and instructional videos as much as voice acting for radio, TV and audiobooks.

My Voice Experience

14 years as the voice of a CBS affiliate and 10 years as production director of a 6-station radio cluster gave me many opportunities to hone my craftin my 35 years in the business. Since then, my varied experiences have rounded out my abilities. Reporting news taught me to deliver copy with dignity and intensity, while other jobs as an on-air personality taught me to have fun doing voice over jobs. I'm always excited to try something new doing voice over auditions. I would be honored to audition for you.

My Training

In school, being a voice actor was the furthest from my mind, but drama training fostered a desire to use these skills for radio voices. It was in college that I began to develop a voice talent. I've always said that I never want to stop trying new things or learning new applications for this talent.

RE-20 mic; Joe Meek mic pre; Symetrix limiter/comp; Mackie console; Pro-Tools, and Adobe Audition software.

Additional Skills

Many writers and producers through the years have commented that I INTERPRET their script very well. I think that comes partly from the fact that I've also served the industry as a writer, producer and director - from TV programs, to long-form news reports at Public Radio, and for standard commercials.
