From yearly roles in elementary school productions, to recitations during middle school talent shows, to key note speeches in my local city during my teenage years, to radio announcing and commercials, to poetry slams in other cities, to playing the little old woman in my Church play --- I've always had a voice.
I have a communications degree from Valdosta State University. While there I completed several courses in diction, radio and television, and worked as a video anchor for the college news station on the majority of news casts. While in college, I began working at a TOP 40 radio station as a morning personality and newscaster. From there, I continued in radio-a number of formats, and moved on to work as a reporter for the local paper. WHile not directly broadcasting, the position did provide an opportunity to speak with people and exercise voice variations which I found to be more effective in getting people to listen/talk/dig deeper/feel more comfortable/become more personal. Currently, I am working in radio again and delivering news - standard and entertainment.
Within my current place of employment, there is adequate recording equipment and editing software. At home, I own a voice recording device, with separate mic capabilities.
I am trained in Cool Edit/Adobe editing software and understand mixing and production technique, as well as music( key signature, timing, etc.)
