When speaking in English with a "foreign" dialect, my accent/dialect & diction are usually nearly perfect for the language in question. A sampling of this would be: Russian, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch and even some Japanese (I studied Japan, its people and their language for a year, but that was in grade six). To be honest, I do not speak any of these languages fluently and, truthfully, I may not have the ability to carry on a conversation in them either, BUT given a script, I know I would have very little (if any) trouble at all delivering the needed VO... I'm an excellent mimic!!!
My "character" voices consist of both real people such as Michael Caine, Eddie Murphy, former President of the United States George Bush Sr., Arnold Schwarzenegger (both a "real" version & a stylized "caricature" of his famous tones), Carol Channing, Christopher Walken and Sean Connery (to name only a few) and characters from movies and television, the likes of "Mrs. Doubtfire" (played by Robin Williams), "Mr. Haney" of "Green Acres" fame (played by Pat Buttram), "Floyd-the-Barber" from "Andy of Mayberry" (played by Howard McNear) as well as several from various cartoons including, but not limited to "Shrek" & "Donkey" from the "Shrek" movies. I can also currently imitate approximately 30 character voices from the cartoon "The Simpsons" (A more complete list of all voices & cartoons can be made available upon request). Many original character voices are available as well.
