Hi. My voice is often used for describing delicious culinary delights or sexy/fun warm moments that require the chocolate to melt or the ice to begin dripping. I'm serious & professional when your corporate video or TV spot is getting down to business, or I'm way over-the-top nuts and energetic to catch the ear of someone stuck in traffic. I'll be happy to keep your customers on-hold thinking about you and your services or even some humor to lighten their day. I'll narrate in a folksy, professional or hard-sell way, just toss me some copy. I've played a slug, a seahorse and a few whiny Eeyore type creatures and I've a menagerie still waiting for their turn. Can I carry a Tune? I'll even add-in some harmony. My Voice Experience

There was a time when having a 'good voice for radio' would likely keep one out of the running for voice work, 'cause nobody wanted those puking inflections trashing their clever copy. Good thing radio with real voices came along. Sure I can pump up your words with extra ego if the character calls for it, but that's a feature, not a staple of my kitchen's vocal flavors. I've voiced the gamut; industrial training video/DVDs, on-hold messaging, nutty characters & friendly folk. Played her husband or brother and even improvised lines to change the plot of movies ala “Mad Movies” or “What’s Up Tigerlily”. I've been hired more for my actual day-to-day conversational voice than any other. My improvisational skills contribute to my being FUN TO WORK WITH factor as well as creative copy suggestions/ideas. Before John Madden’s voice got into the X-Box it was me calling the play-by-play. Guess I wasn’t large enough... ;-)

My Training

Got started behind the microphone of my dad's Teac reel-to-reel 'bout 1970 although nobody paid me for my voice 'til '81 or so. In radio I voiced hundreds of spots, liners, etc...but learned there were even more creative outlets which lead me to Improv-acting & freelance voicing. I can sing, play the cello, Sousaphone (tuba,) piano... I've programmed satellite music channels for Muzak & DISH network.

Additional Skills

I'm still a part-time announcer on a Seattle radio station which pays a couple of my bills and keeps me on the press screening lists for new movie releases and I've occasional opportunity to Emcee live events which I find refreshing; a chance to wing-it live with an audience - instant feedback! I'm proficient with most industry standard tools; ProTools for audio editing, Word & Excel for document creation, oh! and I'm diving into digital photography faster than most thanks to iPhoto and my Canon Elph; a great creative outlet that preserves memories. If I thought it would help I’d mention how much I love to cook. Seems to go with the creative freshness foremost front I favor.
