Well the first time my voice was recognized was when a dj went through the burger king in my home town of Orangeville, and of course i was the drive through specialist who always had fun at the mike. He told me i should drop out of high school and head straight for the radio industry.
Since then i probably hear the whole "radio voice" or "are u a real person" when i answer my store phone 3-4 times per week when i answer.
Well i've never had any voice training, but being in business, in college, attended and spoke at seminars, and through sales courses i've learned how to control and modify voice to appeal to customers and situations.
I currently use a pc and basic microphone but that could change with opportunitys.
I'm a store manager with Rogers in Orangeville Ontario. I have access to a reliable vehicle and would commute just about anywhere for the right job/contract/opportunity to use my talent, as i've heard the comments enough to know it would be a waste to not explore this domain.
Lastly apart from being compared to radio voices, i also hear i sound a lot like customer service greetings peole would hear on 1-800 recordings, as my voice can be soothing when necessary.
