Southern born and bred, I've spoken to people about everything from 'how to make collard greens and hog maws' to how to facilitate a youth program effectively! I'm VERY diverse and have spoken to masses of people from stage during festivals and board meetings to winning 'readers theater' competitions in high school. Although I have not had a job that was specifically 'voice-intensive'....... TRUST ME I've always been the employee that was called upon when not only tact but 'clarity' was needed.
I studied musical theater at Howard University in Washington, DC and currently still train in vocal jazz. I've completed 'Voice for the Radio' courses via Baltimore City Community College and have had the priviledge to do radio and voice overs in college. Currently I work in the hospitality industry and also train high school students on drama, voice and diction via a program of Johns Hopkins University.
I am MORE than a well-rounded woman! My meeting and event management skills as well as theater education and breath control have constantly yielded themselves to a very persuasive demeanor that is in all ways unobtrusive. One of the greatest elements of my character is TACT......... I have an incredible grasp on how to deliver information based on the readers/hearers, etc. emotion. As a result of this value, I have worked as the voice for delivering valuable information to nationwide units of the national Association I previously worked with.
