I have been singing for over ten years and have fronted a few (mostly very small and only minimally successful) bands. This experience quickly taught me the importance of controlling your breath and the placement of your mouth in front of the microphone, as many of the venues we played had sub-par sound equipment. As an undergraduate in college, I took several courses in public speaking and diction, and I have used these skills to command excited crowds of geeks at science fiction conventions where I have spoken on panels about everything from whether Pirates are better than Ninjas, to dating tips for the socially awkward. Recently I became involved with voice acting through education. I was thrust into the position of recording introductions to classes for a start-up college, and soon found myself reading lecture notes as well. From there, I was approached to record some spots for a local politician's upcoming re-election campaign, and the rest as they say...
As I mentioned, I have over 10 years of experience as a singer, public speaker, and amateur actress, and have trained my voice with the aid of professionals. My tone is clear and warm, with excellent diction and enunciation. I have complete control over my plosives and know how to speak into a microphone to capture every little nuance with minimal to zero audio clipping.
I have recorded commercials for ad campaigns, lectures for university level courses, and narration for corporate presentations.
