Voice Description

I have a voice flexibility that allows me to go from hard sell and character voices to sexy and conversational without missing a beat. This is handy not only for commercials, tour guide recordings and professional presentations but audiobook narration that requires a storyteller's style. I have a quick wit and am easily directed. I can also use my voice to get across a variety of ages, including not only women and children but men as well. I'm creative and open to improvisation and have an extensive professional musical and acting background. I'm a natural mimic and am skilled in accents, including: British, Irish, Scottish, Hispanic, East Indian, Native American, Asian languages, a variety of regional U.S. dialects (Southern, New York, Boston, Minnesota, North/South Dakota), German, Russian, Swedish and others.

My Voice Experience

I've been doing a wide variety of voice work for 25 years.

My Training

I come from a large, close-knit family of musicians, comics, singers and natural mimics. I was a singer and flutist from a very young age, then an actor in high school which led to a full acting scholarship into college. There I learned even more about what my voice was capable of. Classes in the performing arts and music (I'm a jazz and scat singer) set me on my way to becoming a voice talent, singer and award-winning journalist and humor columnist (including Best Columnist in America in 2005 by the American Societyof Newspaper Editors).
