Maya Costley

I am currently a DJ at WOOL fm, 100.1 FM, a community radio station in So. Vermont. I have done show hosting, interviews with guests-live and taped, live promos at special events, announcing during live concerts and broadcasts, as well as PSA's and recorded promos for the station. I have also done PSA's for non-profits such as the Council On Aging of S. Vermont. Some vocal coaching. Self-taught singer/songwriter and performer. I've hosted and performed at open mics as well. I can do Folk, Blues, Jazz and Rock in an Annie Lenox, Joan Armatrading, Tracy Chapman or Tracy Nelson style. I studied expressive and performing arts, which included creative writing, singing, acting, comedy and screen and script-writing through Prescott College in Prescott,AZ. I have worked professionally as a chef and caterer, jewelry designer, social worker, educator and writer specializing in environmental, peace and justice and community-building topics and concerns. I am also interested in human potential and spirituality. I have been involved with Theosophy, Buddhist, Advaita and Non-Dual philosophies for more than 20 years.
