Voice Description

I possess a unique, "not from anywhere" vocal instrument, even though I am from Texas! I can sound as if I am from "nowhere" or from The Bronx, Los Angeles, or...Houston! I do not believe in affecting my voice, I prefer to absorb the written material and give an honest interpretation of those words back to the client. I take direction very well, and I like to listen. I can perform some British dialects including traditional Irish and Scottish. I also do various celebrity impressions including Alec Baldwin, Sean Connery, Elvis, and a few others. My narrative voice is "guy next door" and smooth. I am energetic yet professional for commercial spots, and for corporate presentations I project a "relaxed confidence." I also am an accomplished singer, with a strong rock voice, ability to harmonize well.

My Voice Experience

Lots of commercial experience. 17 years of voice over work. Clients include: SONY, RED SKY PICTURES, WOLF BRAND CHILI, FOX NEWS, FOX SPORTS, PBS, ADV FILMS WORLDWIDE. Hundreds of TV and radio spots, narrations, sound bytes, jingles, corporate, movie trailers, and even message on hold. I have played many roles as a voice actor in Japanese Anime' movies, among them the lead in Street Fighter (M.Bison), John Blade in SIN:The Movie, and various characters in A.D. Police and Gaseraki. I have done several movie trailers along with many, many short and long form narrations for public and private viewing.I will be the voice of the lead character in the upcoming children's theatrical release "The Magic Rabbit." (Red Sky Pictures). I also perform cartoon voices on demand!

BA in English from San Diego State.
Voice lessons in on-air announcing from Bob Ford Productions (Houston, Texas). Bob is the voice of PBS, The Houston Astros, and many national clients including Nissan.
I also ran a successful film and video production company in Houston for several years. I performed all of the voice over jobs in our commercials and long form projects.

I have a varied and rich life experience that I feel adds something to my voice acting. I am a former Force Recon Marine, police officer, bounty hunter, and Private Detective! I also was a pro musician, playing live with rocker Sammy Hagar in 1998. I have worked as a stuntman and a cinematographer. I am well-rounded in the arts, one might say!
