Voice Description

I work the promotions at Casino Pauma, Pauma Valley, California. I announce Jackpot Winners and all promotions during the month. I continually strive to keep an upbeat and fun atmosphere going throughout the Casino at all times. My voice is very clear and I enunciate extremely well. I do excel at ad-lib and improvising. The guests at Casino Pauma prefer that I do all announcing. I am very good at the "serious" voice such as "airport voice". I am the voice heard when you call our 800 number. (1-877-68-PAUMA) I am extremely comfortable talking into a microphone. I also enjoy reading and would love to go into audio books.

I do a rather good New York Bronx and Southern Belle impression. I have never been asked to do any other but would be willing to try.

My Voice Experience

I love to read out loud. I recorded a gift book for a co-worker's child and everyone who heard it thought it was purchased that way. My voice is used for the automated phone service at the casino where I am currently employed. I also do any and all announcements while on duty, including promotions and poker or security requirements.

My Training

I have no formal voiceover training, although I have much experience in the customer-service industry. Most of this experience was working over the telephone. I was always a favorite among customers. I currently work at a casino where I carry a microphone and interact directly with large crowds.

My Studio Equipment

I have a small studio/office in my home. I use a Rode NT1-A large diaphragm condenser microphone linked to my PC through a Tascam US-144 mkII interface. I am experimenting with various types of recording software, but I've found that Audacity is very simple to use.

Additional Skills

I have much customer-service related phone experience. I currently work at a casino where I am required to carry a microphone and do all announcements for the casino, and also to interact directly with the crowd to keep everyone in a good mood.
