People have always told me that I would make a great voiceover artist! Now thanks to a dear friend and long-running voice talent with this company, I now can pursue my calling. As a public school foreign language teacher, I loved to read stories to my students over teaching at the blackboard anyday! I even loved commentating our cultural arts day events in the schools. Members of the faculty were always astonished at my pronunciation of the authentic names of our students. Everyone, including the principals, would ask me to deliver the messages over our PA system to our international students.
Before teaching, I worked as a tour guide, Spanish interpreter, and cruise ship activity hostess with Royal Caribbean in the summers of 1992 to 1994. I was always a runner-up in state pageants during my high school and college years. The Ohio State University's Mortar Board Senior Honorary appointed me as Vice-President and spokesperson for events at Les Wexner's Art Center.
My grandmother used to tell me up until her death, "My sugar, you're such a ham!" I guess she was always right. I love to take on any challenge of voiceovers and my aim is to offer great quality work and to learn from criticism in order to please.
Various linguistics and foreign language classes were a part of my undergraduate and graduate degree programs at The Ohio State University. I have a B.A. in International Studies, an M.Ed in Foreign Language Education, and two Georgia teaching certificates in ESL and Spanish.
I currently am working as a licensed Personal Chef. I am sometimes called upon to give in-home interactive dinner parties----these assignments really show off my hostessing skills! I also run a small online language consulting business. I teach Spanish and ESL online to clients from various occupations and locations. All of my clients comment on my clear voice.
