I am new to the Voice Over world, though passionate all the same. An Actress by trade, I love performing characters and playing up personalities below and above my age range. Animal sounds are always plentiful from my vocal chords, as are songs, imitations, and comic quips. I recorded a radio commercial for Toyota many years ago, and since then my voice has been heard live on many stages throughout Canada.
I graduated from York University's Theatre program in 2005 (Toronto, Canada). In, and out, of University I have taken several voice classes and workshops, though most have been pertinent to Theatre and Film. I have done some voice over work, a commercial for Toyota, and the rest volunteer. I truly feel the transition from stage/film to radio/voice would be comfortable for me. I also sing and play guitar.
Again, new here, though I am able to get access to a local radio station if need be.
In what I do I use my voice each and every day. Yes, the audience can see me, but on stage you need to project, articulate, and delivery is oh so very important to hit home with each and every line. I am a strong storyteller with a wide range of abilities. Off stage I have recorded one radio commercial for a station, and one for a University project. I have also worked in studios recording music, and my own voice over for a film I worked on last year.
