Voice Description
My voice is naturally upbeat and direct, but not harsh. I use many inflections to give it warmth, although I can also have a sarcastic tone. I have been told by a casting agent my voice is very polished and is very good for being a spokesperson. I speak some German and a little Spanish, but learn dialects very quickly. I also do British, New York, Australian, Scottish, Irish, Southern US, and Canadian accents.

My Voice Experience
I will admit to being brand new to the voiceover business. However, my current full-time job is as a professor of Computer Information Systems at DeVry University in Long Beach, CA. I like to do impressions and scenes from movies during lectures to keep students interested.
I also have acted in many church productions at NewSong Church in San Dimas, CA, and at Mariners Church in Irvine, CA.
I also had my own radio show on the Kaleidoscope network, playing Christian music and announcing Public Service Announcements.I have done some radio recording work (music), and have been a public address announcer for basketball and soccer teams.
My Training
Recently, I have taken voiceover classes at Del Mar Media Arts in Irvine, CA, where I also had an Audition CD produced.
I took a course in college on Elementary Radio Station Operations, where I recorded public service announcements and stations announcements on carts. Some of these were with music in the background.
I also had my own radio show on the Kaleidoscope network, playing Christian music and announcing Public Service Announcements.

Additional Skills
I am always trying to make people laugh...OK, maybe a little too much sometimes, but I've found it always helps to look for a good one-liner, especially when talking about computer topics that may appear very boring. I always try to include a reference to a movie scene or a sporting event that fits the topic.
I have always been interested in announcing since I was very young, when I became fascinated with play-by-play announcers on radio and TV. I have always had a great love for radio and announcing in general. Every time I hear an ad for a product, I always think how I could do it differently. This is why being a public address announcer was like a dream come true. It really taught me to study names so they would be pronounced correctly and how to change my voice volume and intensity to get the right emphasis.
