On Easter Sunday, in a snow storm, in Paterson’s St. Joseph’s Hospital, The woman we know as Kimyetta Hill was born. As early as middle school, Kimyetta knew she had a passion for music and performing. Attending Rosa Parks School of Fine and Performing Arts as an instrumental music major, she was a staple in the high school’s structure, holding 1st chair in the woodwind section of the concert band, playing clarinet and bass clarinet, AND was the only girl in the school’s “Jazz Lab”. She was also part of Arts High’s “First Three” graduating class. Thereafter, Kimyetta extended her passion into the biological sciences, where she attended Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Teaneck-Hackensack Campus, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After graduating, she became a substitute teacher in Paterson’s school district. One day her assignment was to read an afternoon story to a kindergarten class. Upon completion the 5 year olds gave Kimyetta a standing ovation. At that point, she knew she could no longer fight her passion for the entertainment arts, so she immediately sold her Jeep, and moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. For the next 3-4 years, Kimyetta went back and forth from Los Angeles to New York doing Stand Up Comedy at venues such like Stand Up NY, Boston Comedy Club, and Hollywood’s Lucky Strike bowling alley. She also hosted numerous Comedy shows in Paterson, as well as Bergen County. Kimyetta studied at NY’s Weist Barron commercial school, AIA studios, interned at New York School for Film and Television, and in Los Angeles, studied at Groundlings, and Bobby Chance studio. Kimyetta is currently studying Voiceover with Kalmeson and Kalmeson, which is her primary passion, in addition taking commercial classes with coach Mike Pointer. Kimyetta is a force to be reckoned with in today’s entertainment industry.....the sky is the limit for her!
