More than 2 decades on stage allow me to use smooth delivery with elaborate language (medical perhaps?) My usual speech is low with a neutral mid-Atlantic accent, but I have used southern and various British accents in projects.
I work as a children's storyteller and love creating bold voices for funny, creepy or worried characters.

My Voice Experience

On-camera projects led to VO's both to overlay video and to promote products in other media, such as radio. One major award-winning project several years ago was for Chitosol, a weight-loss product. As I did narration, on-camera spontaneous conversation with a guest and the radio spots, my challenge was to sound surprised, delighted and sincere.

I've narrated the series "Inergy:The Force With,"using a calm and simple voice for this yoga-like program, while political campaigns have drawn on my ability to speak quickly without losing sincerity. I've urged people to support funding for a Maine landmark and narrated a welcome video for a school's kindergarten program.

My ability to handle medical terms and to fit copy smoothly into 30 sec spots made me popular with a pharmacy chain. (These spots are no longer running)

For St. Mary's Center for Joint Replacement I narrated my own video for a TV commercial and was invited back to make a second spot.

At just one studio I've joined a team to sing jingles. It was fun and I'd love to do more (I'm a soprano)

I have a Snoball USB mic that I use with Audacity to record.
I'm on the same block as Maine Media, a full-service recording studio.

Additional Skills

I've spent time as a teacher of both acting and English. I understand how to analyze copy for what's most important. My diction is great unless I choose to lose it for character purposes.
I'm patient and willing to hard to get a project to meet my own high standards as well as yours.
