John has extensive experience as an on-camera spokesman and is extremely proficient with a wireless ear prompter.

He has also appeared in principal motion picture roles, including Tom Hanks' Emmy Award–winning HBO series "From the Earth to the Moon," co-hosted the HGTV food and lifestyle series "All In Good Taste," and has had numerous principal roles in professional theatre.

While John is SAG (Screen Actors Guild) eligible, he has elected to remain non-union to provide maximum flexibility to producers.

My Training

With more than 35 years experience performing professional voice talent, John began his career as a radio announcer at age 17. He spent two years in school in England where he "studied" British accents and adapted them so well that he was frequently asked what part of England he was from.

He studied public speaking and drama in high school and continued to study drama in college. After four years in the Navy, John traveled throughout Europe, eventually living in Paris, where he performed English-language voice talent and ADR (automated dialog replacement) for the French automaker Renault. After returning to the U.S., he worked in radio and television as a voice and on-camera talent for ten years. Later, as a film actor, corporate spokesman and television host, he studied voice and on-camera performance techniques with several nationally recognized teachers and at KVG Studios in Florida.

John has spent more than thirty years as a writer, producer and director of award-winning radio commercials, television commercials, corporate videos, infomercials and sound tracks, and has worked for fifteen years as an advertising agency account executive, copywriter and producer/director.

John is a gourmet cook, talented professional photographer, skilled boat handler, cyclist, and an advanced open water scuba diver and snorkeler. And, after a couple glasses of Chianti, an "entertaining" piano player.
