Voice Description

Credible, well-modulated Australian (sometimes mistaken for British). It is a voice people say they like to listen to. I have adapted my natural cadence to the US ear, and now speak without the characteristic Australian rising inflection.

Versatile, I can speak with a more cultured British accent, or drop into a raw Aussie character.

I have developed two specific modes - one more serious for business podcasts that I produce, and the other is more "inspirational" for consumer-oriented photographic videos and podcasts.

Pleasant and articulate blend of British, US and Australian that resonates with people but not immediately categorized. I can neutralize the Australian comfortably if the project calls for it.

In a normal speaking voice, I can do either a friendly instruction/training voice and pacing, or a more serious business voice.

Can also do a broad Aussie character, like Croc Hunter excited narrator.

Extensive coaching by Walter Pearson, a radio and TV news reporter and operator of training company teaching media PR skills to top level military staff.

Additional Skills

I have particular skills in demystifying complex concepts for the new learner. Several years back, I headed Apple's User-Learning team, creating training materials for classes and online. My main hall presentations at Photo Expos for consumers have drawn rave reviews from attendees.

It seems that I have a voice that people can believe and enjoy listening to. Plus I can vary it extensively to do characters, with a good sense of comedic timing.
