Voice Description

For me, voice acting is fun, and I bring that attitude to every project. Whether the script calls for laid-back and conversational, clear and confident, heartfelt and warm, or downright wacky, I'm always having a good time. I've learned that the final product is always better when you love what you do.

I've been a film producer for over 16 years, so I know what clients are looking for in a voice actor: professional results, quick turnaround, and reasonable pricing. I work from home in a state-of-the-art post-production studio, so you'll find that meeting your last-minute deadline is no problem (I've lost track of the projects I've finished after midnight!) And if you've got a Skype account, you can sit in on the recording session from anywhere (I recommend a comfy recliner on the porch, preferably with snacks nearby).

For projects that require lots of individual clips, I've created my own workflow using Apple's Final Cut and Compressor (film editing software) for saving the final files. It allows me to make lots of changes very quickly, because I've also learned that there are always changes.

And if you're looking for the addition of music and sound effects, all the way up to fully produced radio spots, you're definitely speaking my language. I can even compose original music for your project, if you're looking for something that's one-of-a-kind.

My Studio Equipment

I have a home studio running Final Cut Studio (I use Soundtrack for my audio recording). I'm using a Rode NT1-A mic, fed through a Focusrite Saffire pre-amp into a 2.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Mac Pro (that's geek talk for "a really fast machine"). My soundbooth has a Skype connection, so you can sit in on the recording session if you like. I've been a filmmaker for over 16 years.

Additional Skills

Besides narration and sound editing, I've also composed music for a number of my productions. Most of my music has been for Littleflick Pictures, an indie film company I created with my wife. We produced a feature-length collection of short comedy films, and I created the music for several of them. I also composed music for the film's trailer, and some additional promotional videos.
