My Voice Experience
With 10 years experience in radio doing all but foreign language formats, I've done lots of different voice characterizations. I also wrote, produced and read the 2Minute Science Log that was used on the Internet as a precursor to podcasting. You might heard me doing Internet audio spots for such firms as Amersham BioSciences, GE BioScience, BioSupplyNet and Horizon Technology.
My Training
College classes did not adequately prepare me for life in radio! Although I learned how to use some equipment and practice speaking, it wasn't until I was on-air and had to produce spots for a huge variety of customers that I really learned how to use my voice properly. In Top 100 radio markets, you have to do all kinds of voice types, from MONSTER TRUCK SUNDAYS to Benneton spots. Reading two minute science news shows were exciting and helped hone my writing skills.

Additional Skills
Since my radio days, I have spent quite a bit of time doing IT work in a primarily science field. I know how to pronounce science terms!
