I started doing voiceover several years ago after many years of acting. I enrolled in a course of study in voiceover to be sure I knew everything I needed to know technically. I was very pleased to learn that good voiceover is really acting with your voice. I knew I had experience in the acting arena, and so I was able to apply the same principles to voiceover work. I am currently working on a new demo, as my present one is a few years old, and am represented by two separate talent agencies in Atlanta. I've so far done various voiceover jobs, including industrials for Coca-Cola and Home Depot, the voice of Aunt May in a motion comic- book adaptation of The Death of Spiderman fan film, national radio ads for Vitamix and Medishare, nine audiobooks for Listenup Audiobooks, narration for an online realty company, narration to be used at a national convention,a local (Atlanta) music store TV ad, and the voice of a talking childrens' toy. I'm also SAG-Aftra eligible, and am available for union projects.
My college degree is a BFA in Visual Arts, and I make my living as an architectural illustrator, actor, and VO artist. I have a resume of my acting experiences which is available upon request or can be found on Imdb. I first learned about voiceover when I started On-Camera acting classes at YourAct acting studios in Atlanta. I took the classes they offered in Voiceover, including Intro to Voiceover, Intermediate VO, the Demo Class, which is only offered by invitation, and also have done the Master Class in VO.In addition, I completed a class in Audiobooks , which has proven to be most beneficial as I've just completed my ninth audiobook.
I have an AKGC2000B mic and can record auditions at home.
I am also an actor, as well as a professional illustrator.
