My voice has been described as Rod McKuen without the gravel - warm-seductive-sexy, my voice can paint pictures in the mind of the listener. Having worked both as a hypnotherapist and counselor, my voice can be trustworthy, emphatic, believable, heart rendering, able to conjure up feelings of home and hearth. But, yet, yet I can speak with the deep voice of authority or the wimpish character who has no direction at all in life.

My Voice Experience

Voice acting is first and foremost ACTING! - I have been acting professionally for over 30 years. This includes nearly 50 stage productions, my true love and where I honed my craft, movies both major and minor characters, numerous commercials, both on camera and voice-over, narrations, training and education films, celebrity impersonation appearances, and, heck, even my greatest role: Playing Santa for developmentally disabled children and adults for the past 20 years. .

My Training

Even Tiger Woods has a coach, and I am a firm believer that an actor should always be studying. It is impossible to list all of my formal and informal training. It began by studying acting at Oklahoma University. I have also studied under some of the best voice actors in the central part of the USA. I also attend Film Actors Lab in Dallas, and have taken continual acting and voiceover classes when feasible.
Additionally, my personal library contains over 100 books and CD's on all forms of acting and voice work.

I use an AUDIO TECHNICA 4047 MIC WITH AN EDIROL UA24 Interface

Additional Skills

I have a background in the mental health field which has really been a resource to draw from as far as sense memory goes in my acting. I am also a certified hypnotherapist and have used this interest to record relaxation/guided imagery, smoking/overeating cessation products.
I also have worked in sales and sales management, so know and understand people's hot buttons and decision drawing phrases.

I am also a writer of ad copy, articles, poetry, children's books etc.
