Voice Description

My voice is fairly sophisticated - it actually is warm and deep. I have done a voice over for a company where I had to be crisp and professional and had to read many numerical statistics. But, I have also done the voice of Old Mother Hubbard; and a frazzled housewife yelling at her kids for being too loud while she is trying to talk to a friend. I can manipulate my voice to be youthful, middle aged or senior.

Children find my voice soothing when I read/narrate stories. I amuse them with my voice, i.e., I laugh like a pirate or cackle like a witch. Many say that I would be perfect to do Ursula's voice from The Little Mermaid.

I've used a sultry voice for a jewelry merchant as well as a french accent for a car ad. I have also sung a few jingles.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Accents come fairly easily -- European, Spanish/Italian, French, country western, British, Bronx/Brooklyn/New York, and several others that I can mimic after hearing the accent.

My Voice Experience

I did radio spots for a local AM radio station -- WREF in Ridgefield, Ct.. The DJ and I recorded the ads in their recording studio.

I read many different types of copy for different merchants in the area, including: jewelers, fur merchants, car dealerships, caterers, liquor stores, grocery stores, a nursery school, industrial copy ......

I've done narrations including: Short biography of Mozart, a childrens story about animals, an industrial statistical piece ..........

I was offered a deejay position because I had graduated from Connecticut's School of Broadcasting.

My Training

I graduated from a voice over class/workshop given by a professional voice actor. I and several others were chosen to further our training and were sent to a recording studio where we recorded commercials and narrations.

I graduated from Connecticut's School of Broadcasting. Many times we had to write and perform our own written copy both on TV as well as radio.

I have a degree in Video Production from Fairfield University; and also was the Wardrobe Supervisor at Darien Dinner Theater.

Additional Skills

Totally unrelated, but you might find interesting is that I have a Paralegal degree.

I also am very active in saving/helping animals. Living in the country, as I do, I am privie to all sorts of wildlife as well as homeless pets. Somehow, they all find my house. Food and shelter is always available.

I have also written several children's stories/books based on different animals.

I also belong to a weekly singing group.
