A voice style of credibility with 'cut through'. Well modulated, mid range timbre with flexibility, ranging from soft sell/narration to punchy momentum. Vocal mood can swing between smooth and corporate to freeflowing and fun, depending on the project. I have a natural quick wit and at conception was gifted a dominant humour gene in my personality ! I'm not afraid to 'let my guard and age down', to perform for childrens audio books and more off-the-wall audio concepts.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Australian Accent - Straight & mature, can also perform slightly 'ocker', rural, bogan and hyper Oz flavoured deliveries. I always like a voice over challenge, so even if I haven't done it in the past, doesn't mean it won't turn into future reality, perhaps based on your brief ?

My Voice Experience

I was born with a brain, a voice, a personality, and the humour in me in 1954. From 1971 after being infected by personality/music radio at a very early age I entered Australian commercial radio, after 2 years of 'work experience' at the local station, during my final years of secondary education. From then to now, I have been involved both 'on' & 'off' air in maximising the effectiveness of my clients' advertising investment. My advertising voice career both LIVE & RECORDED has centred on SELLING not READING the scripts, with natural flair, empathy & conviction. I KNOW HOW TO SELL THE MESSAGE !!!

Having worked in 3 states across Australia in both rural & city markets, I have both conceived, written, recorded voiced & mixed radio commercials, music & historic documentaries/specials, station imaging, comedy segments & drop-ins, news/current affair specials plus award winning promotions involving both client and station voice over sessions. I am also featured as the 'Aussie voice' doing recorded 'liners' on a Hawaiian based Internet radio station, run by the former legendary 93KHJ Programme Director & marketing genius Ron Jacobs. I LOVE being involved with vibrant, entrepreneurial people !

My Training

1971 - 2010 I have made a successful broadcasting career out of communicating to the mass audience on behalf of clients' advertising investment. My voice over training as part of my radio portfolio has been through the 'school of hard knocks', after matriculating from secondary school and via a number of University Management Courses, which also embraced the 'creative' side of the audio business.

LIVE voice interaction with the public as station host, client MC and community promotions spokesperson has given me a rounded base, of BOTH in-studio and in-market experience and voice skills.

I have a fully operational home studio, which provides a warm and real 'one-to-one' communication feel. It's a case of combining seasoned talent with today's technology, to deliver the best possible audio product.
