My Voice Experience
My story starts in the drive-thru of Taco Bell. I was 18, the year was 2003, and my goal was to treat our customers how I would want to be treated.
I greeted them politely, with a clear, accurate, projected, and sweet voice. That was when the job suggestions started pouring through.
"You should have your own radio show!" Declared one lady as her daughter agreed by nodding at me through the window.
"Was that you who took my order?" Many people would ask. "Yes that was me!" I say with a smile. "You need to be doing commercials! Get out of here and go make a living off of that!" They proclaim with a smile.
"Young lady, you have a beautiful voice! You should be working somewhere where they pay you much more for it than here at Taco Bell!" Said one gentleman.
For three years I have been recieving compliment after compliment, suggestion after suggestion. And I finally decided, "I need to get the heck out of Taco Bell and do something with my voice!"
I decided to start my own radio show called "Pchicky Live! The Voice of the Org Community" where it is featured at a gaming forum I visit often. Ever since I began that, the leads began coming in.
A friend of mine who owns Microbyte Productions asked me to do a soft, sultry, WarCraft female elf kind of voice for his promotional video about a baby murloc featured in the game World of WarCraft.
My experience does not stop there. In my own production company: Preacherchick Productions, I have done various types of voice acting including a game show announcer's voice.
Currently I am working on a project for a Star Craft Expansion Map titled "Sons of War" with the Matriarch of the Protoss race--Tormidal as my character.
