Voice Description

My voice can suit the mood or event that I present. As mentioned in your column, my voice can be lively and bubbly for teen and young programs, it can be intense and sober for serious presentations, calm and soothing, warm and fuzzy for a romantic narration. It can vary from high to low pitches depending on the requirement. I speak Persian, Hindi and English which are my native languages. I speak Marathi and Gujarati as my second languages. However, if given a script in a European language or Arabic, I can imitate Spanish, French, German and Arabic perfectly. I can sing and imitate many characters on screen and off-screen including people's acccents from different countries. I can imitate singers and creatures and animals too.

My Voice Experience

I have had a varied and diverse experience ranging from being a school teacher where voice modulation was absolutely essential when dealing with children, to being an admin. assistant where a telephonic conversation and how it was delivered could ensure the work being done faster. I have also been a paging operator and a customer-service assistant where I have had to deal with various people from diverse backgrounds in a manner and language they would best understand and feel most comfortable with. I have travelled the country of India and Israel meeting youth and children and senior citizens from all walks of life presenting seminars and workshops through the medium or drama, songs and study classes. I have worked with a radio station in India, popularly known as Radio Mirchi and I have been an RJ assistant using my voice as an English and Hindi jockey mainly. My job included interviewing certain celebs, creating creative stories and introducing new songs.

I have had no prior training or study for voice, however, I am confident that I am a natural and have the knack of comfortably conveying my message across in any form, in a manner which would be captivating and leave an indelible impression on the hearts of the listeners.

Additional Skills

I have excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills. Being engaged in elocution contests and drama and plays and singing all my life has enabled me to train my voice appropriately for various situations and demands. Also my enthuasiasm, vivacious personality, energy and confidence is very apparent in the way my voice carries over. I am able to mimick various language accents perfectly well and I believe that my positive attitude and confidence will carry me through any project. I am also very comfortable onscreen as I have done various presentations for the TV and chaired numerous national conferences.
