My Voice Experience
I've done four plays and two musicals. I started working in radio in 2007 for a classical radio station, but now I work at a Christian station in Michigan. I am the director of the station and have had that position for about a year now.
My Training
I am a behavioral neuroscience psychology major working on my undergrad right now. I took a lot of psychology classes that taught me how the mind works and what speaking the right way can do to people. I also took an acting class for college credit my freshman year that got me comfortable with the way my voice sounds and how to manipulate it to get the most out of it.
My Studio Equipment
I have two Shure KSM44SL and four SM58 studio microphones, a 27 in iMac with Garage Band software, a 16 channel Mackie mixing board and cables. I also just recently bought a Sterling Audio ST66 Large Diaphram Tube Condenser Mic with pop guard and boom stand. Yea, I'm doing big things now. haha.
Additional Skills
I took acting classes for the plays and musicals I was in. For the radio station, we were required to go to paid speaking staff classes in order to help us with the pronunciation of all the Italian, Russian, and German names and the titles of their pieces.
