My gateway into the world of radio and voice over was found at Colorado State University's student-run radio station, 90.5 KCSU. Not only was I given my first live radio shift there, but my voice was also used in numerous station spots. These spots ranged from promos for my own show, to introducing the stations highly popular public forum talk show "Two Dudes and a Diva," for which I was also a producer. Then, I made the transition to professional radio. During my part-time tenure with Regent Broadcasting I have recorded and edited several commercial spots for local Colorado/Wyoming businesses, and I have received very positive feedback on each of them. All of my recorded voice-over work thus far has utilized my natural voice, but I am capable of much, much more.
I have a B.A. in Technical Journalism from Colorado State University, with a concentration in computer-mediated communication and a minor in religious studies. I am well-versed in the use of Cool Edit Pro and Adobe Audition software for recording and editing audio. In college, I provided voice-overs for many reproting projects. I also spent four years volunteering at student-run 90.5 KCSU, and I have been employed by Regent Broadcasting for the past two years. I have been on the air at Regent stations for the past 18 months, in the form of both live shifts and recorded spots. I have also been heavily involved with theatre and musical singing groups for over 10 years.
I have access to radio-grade microphones and sound boards that are capable of recording onto computers running either Cool Edit Pro or Adobe Audition software. I am proficient in the use of all of this equiptment, and do not require supervision to operate any of it.
