Voice Description
People say that my voice is easy to listen to. While it has enough of an edge to be heard cutting through the music in a concert spot, it doesn't grate on the ears partly because of its mid-range baritone pitch.

My Training
My twenty years on radio started at Walla Walla University as a student personality on the air and moved into public radio my second year at WSMC 90.5 FM in Chattanooga, TN where I learned to announce classical music, write and deliver newscasts, as well as producing 5 minute interview features.
After a year in Tennessee, I returned to Walla Walla University and to Positive Life Radio whichto had grown into a Contemporary Christian music network serving the central and eastern part of Washington state, parts of Idaho and Oregon. I filled the position of News Director while continuing to work on the air as a music personality.
After graduating in 1994 with a BA in Communications form Walla Walla University, I moved KARM 89.7 FM in Visalia, CA (serving the Fresno market) where I did the morning show for 6 years as well as selling underwriting, programming the station (Inspirational Christian Music format), and carrying the title of Director.
In 2000, I moved back to Positive Life Radio as Program Director. One year after that I moved from afternoon drive to the morning show which I still host. In 2005, I was promoted to Network Operations Director for the network. From 2004-2008 our ratings went from 50,000 people per week to 104,000.
My Studio Equipment
I use an audio-technica microphone which I run into a Berhringer Ultra Voice VX2000 voice processing unit which runs into Tascam's US-122L USB 2.0 Audio-Midi Interface which plugs into my laptop computer. I record my audio on Adobe Audition 1.5 (2.0 had too many bugs and I haven't hurried to upgrade to 3.0 because 1.5 works just fine for what I need).
