The Theatre was always my training ground for the way I used my voice. As a young lad, I learned that I could manipulate my voice in ways that would make others laugh, including impressions of modern day heroes such as John Wayne. Sorry, showing my age here.
Anyway, my training then matured on the stage as I learned to do the various character roles that I tackled throughout my stage career.
On the stage, I have done Indian accents, British Accents as well as various American accents that the parts called for as well, such as outlandish characters like Melvin P Thorpe in "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas."
All I need is the proper direction as to what is expected and I can deliver.
I have vast experience in the performing arts, communications, media production, and journalism.
I am a graduate of Western Illinois University with a double major in Theatre Management and Journalism. Both programs blended seamlessly with each other in my career when I was involved in Radio as I could write and produce voice-overs and commercials.
My main voice over program I use is Adobe Audition.
I have found that it has suited me and allows me quite a bit of freedom to create.
I am not opposed to using other systems and am very adept at learning new software as I have a computer science degree.
As stated, my experience in doing Radio Voice-Overs and commercials will best indicate my ability to perform.
Additionally, I have done some audio book recordings for a service for the blind.
