CLIENT TESTIMONIALS:
"Celia was great to work with. She was eager to understand the project and how her contribution to it would contribute to its success. Her readings were great the first time and had a high level of consistency. Very professional. I highly recommend Celia."
B. McClure, SkyWorld Interactive
"A lot of people in the commercial-producing biz will tell you how difficult it can be to find voice people who sound 'real'. Traditionally voice work was about as real as reality television... but it's come full-circle. Celia IS that real voice."
B. Barker, RightAfterThis!
"Celia has done a wonderful job on every script that I have ever sent her way. She is excellent about my all too often short turn around times and still makes the ads sound GREAT too!!!
J. Small, The Great Spot Company
With a career spanning 19 years, Celia's voice over service encompasses a wide-range of media: broadcast, cable, film, video, internet, product display, and phone systems; and all forms of applications: advertising, promotion, education, and entertainment.
Commercials still make up the bulk of Celia's workload. While a DJ for nearly a decade, Celia voiced hundreds of spots heard on various Southern California stations. Since opening her home studio a couple of years ago, Celia is now regularly voicing ads and various audio projects for multiple production houses, ad agencies, broadcast & cable stations, video companies and corporations throughout the U.S., Canada, Great Britain, Denmark, Dublin, and Israel.
Previously, Celia's voice was heard on the national airwaves as host of a radio network featuring motivational talk. Locally, Celia has been heard as both the host of a public affairs talk show, and as a news and traffic reporter.
My Training
Celia's voiceover craft was developed and nurtured over many years of classes and seminars. Living in prime VO territory has enabled her to study with many of the top names in the industry (Pat Fraley and Ginny McSwain, to name the latest two).
For many years, Celia participated in the weekly VoiceOver Workouts held by Dave Sebastian Williams.
Recognizing the important role acting plays in voice over excellence, Celia studied at Weist-Barron-Hill, taking Acting for TV & Film classes and performing in their Showcases.
Celias formal education includes earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from California State University, Northridge; and attending several semesters of radio, TV, and communication courses at Pasadena City College.
Celia earned a CTM from Toastmasters International, and it was with active involvement in this organization that she developed her public speaking skills.
Celia shares her voice talent by volunteering as a reader for the Los Angeles Radio Reading Service (LARRS). This service enables the blind and the print-impaired to hear their local, daily newspapers read live -- in "real time."
My Studio Equipment
I voice and produce clean, superbly edited audio in a recording studio that includes a Whisper Room. My sound chain has been acoustically approved by expert audio engineer George Whittam. I have an additional monitor, wireless keyboard and mic in the booth. This paperless studio enables me to record much more efficiently. Other studio equipment includes the following:
Heil PL-2T Overhead Broadcast Boom
Studio Projects C1 Microphone
Apogee ONE
MacBook Pro 5.2
Twisted Wave
Adobe Audition
Sony Pro headphones
M-Audio Speakers
I deliver broadcast quality audio files via any format you desire (MP3, AIFF, WAV, FTP, CD, etc).
Located in L.A., I have easy access to ISDN studios, when live direction is preferred. I provide reasonable rates and quick turnaround.
My standard turnaround for a commercial or other short project, is just 24 hours. When a Rush Order is needed, you'll have your audio ASAP, sometimes in just 2-3 hours!
