I got started in VO when I was 13, doing voice promos for local news shows for a regional theatre show I was in. A decade and a half later, I've done work for companies from Hasbro to Ford, at studios from NYC to Nashville to my own remote home studio, for animation, commercials, PSAs, and music demos. I love creating characters and using my voice to effectively market products and experiences, drawing the listener into the story or educational experience in an engaging way. In the last few years, I've done various voice work (mostly of the musical nature) for clients from Russia to Georgia (the USA Georgia) from my home studio, which is well equipped with a 414 and UA solo 610 pre to deliver crisp, clear, present vocals for any project demanding a fast, efficient, easy-to-work-with female voice.
My Training
13+ years experience in live theatre (Off Broadway, Goodspeed), film (Finding Forrester, 2009 indie rock movie/musical "Clear Blue Tuesday", more), TV (Spin City, Third Watch, more), voice-over, and music, with hundreds of hours spent in studios from NYC to Nashville to home project studios.
BA Theatre degree, Florida State University, Magna Cum Laude, 2003. Improvisational and theatrical lead experience at FSU. Additional classes in Advertising and PR, as well as Marketing internship with FSU School of Theatre.
Voice training: Lorraine Ferro (NYC), Renee Grant Williams and Judy Rodman (Nashville, TN), Steven Cirillo (NYC coaching)
Most experience has (luckily) come from actually DOING voice over work and working with various VO/commercial/animation/audiobook houses (JSM, Audio Paint, Beat 360, Garfish - all NYC)
I also teach VO and musical voice lessons from home studio in NYC.
Contributing copywriter for G4 Connect; music journalist for Muse's Muse, Music news Nashville, Indie-Music website.
Principal lyric and melody writer for Trifecta Music Production pop music production team
My Studio Equipment
AKG 414 mic
Universal Audio Solo 610 pre-amp
ProTools running on MacBook Pro
Sennheiser e835 mic for specific applications
Access to various studios with higher level pre's, more diverse mics, in Tri-State area
Additional Skills
Excellent sensitivity to the needs of a project based on function, thanks to both theatrical and musical training/experience and Marketing/ADV/PR training and experience.
Successful indie artist music career, whereby I secured major opening gigs (Anna Nalick, Dickie Betts, Ingram Hill, more), and self-created and executed PR, including copywriting press releases and managing PR campaign to appropriate geographic outlets for album releases and touring.
Online researcher and copywriter for G4 connect, a creator of rewards-based marketing programs for clients from Ford to the Olympic Games.
I also tightrope walk ;-) (but admittedly have never done a voice-over while tightrope walking)
