I am a beginner to the Voice-over world! My first experience with voice-over work was in college. I had the wonderful opportunity to make a "Witch Voice over" character recording for the NPR affiliated program Making Theatre for Kids in Harrisonburg, VA with director Tom Duval. I spent most of my college summers performing for the Children's Playshop summer stock theatre for James Madison University. I gained most of my knowledge and interest after working as a production assistant intern for The University of Georgia's WUGA radio station. I worked for little over 4 months assisting the Operations Manager Michael Cardin with the Afternoon Concert show. I assisted with CD organization and ripping, prepped and edited shows using Adobe Audition and Audio Vault software, and recorded, cut and edited Public Service Announcements. Studied and received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre/Dance from James Madison University in May of 2009.
Studied Kristin Linklater techniques and was a teacher's Assistant for the Voice for the Stage: Freeing the natural voice in college.
Attended (via online) the SAG-AFTRA Audible Narration Workshop "How to get paid for reading books"
Regularly active in the local theatre scene in Athens, GA. Specifically with The Rose of Athens Theatre. Currently on tour with A Midsummer Night's Dream through the end of March in/out of the Atlanta, GA area.
Classically trained soprano singer.
