I'm obsessed with radio drama so when I became a part of the LA radio drama company, New Frequency, it was a dream come true. We've performed everything from film noir dramas to terrifying horror stories to slice of life pieces and everything in between! You can find a lot of our shows on iTunes. I've also done voice acting with a few of the national commercials I've done- for Dominos and The Metal Roofing Alliance, as well as guested on several podcasts, like The Scheid Show on iTunes.
I have a home studio with a Tascam DR-40 portable sound recorder and for a backup, I have a Blue Yeti USB mic. I work with GarageBand for editing.
I feel like I'm always doing projects that are in relation to voice over acting. I spent eight years working as a professional commercial and improv actor, as well as doing red carpet interviews (where I interview people such as George Clooney and Gary Marshall). And my favorite job (that isn't a job at all) is when I'm volunteering with two organizations - Young Storytellers Foundation and Reading to Kids. With YSF we spent two hours performing sometimes dozens of different characters for a school. I've played everything from a selfish little princess to 1/3 of a 3-headed dragon to a girl who just wants to win the karaoke contest by singing songs that sound like Bruno Mars songs. And in Reading to Kids we spend an hour and a half doing just that, reading to the kids, changing our voices for the different characters, creating the scene for them. I think that is why I love voice acting so much. You can close your eyes and transport people anywhere.
