The good majority of work and experience I've gathered has been through own work, animation. I often write and animate silly videos using video games in a format known as 'Machinima' or animation made using video games. I primarily use Garry's Mod as my primary animating tool as it's versatile and easy to get what you want. After I film, I voice it! I sit down, take a look at my script (if I've written one, I can usually improvise well enough) and voice away! I usually know what I want from a particular character, and I've voiced quite a variety. I've gathered a small audience of viewers (Roughly 1,800) and many have enjoyed my work, as esoteric as it is. I hope you will as well!
Most of what I know is what I've learned through personal experience. I'm familiar with the processes of building soundproof rooms for recording, as well as techniques that can improve the quality of recorded sound and voice. The program I use most often for recording voice is Audacity, which I can use to add effects and layer sounds to create a scene.
While I've never done any formal work as a voice actor, I've done much of my own work as a hobby in my spare time. It's been something I have been doing all my life. I truly love becoming a character with my voice and hearing the final result.
