I have spent the past several years doing in-depth study to prepare myself, not just for the vocal needs of a voice acting career, but also the business and marketing sides as well. I have studied professionally through Gravy for the Brain / Such-A-Voice using various online courses, webinars, vocal coaching and mentoring sessions.
For several years, I was in a local singing group/choir that performed for the public. Weekly rehearsals and daily practicing kept my vocal techniques fresh and honed for range, breath control and emotional impact. Also, the immediate feedback from the director and live audiences molded my growth.
For the past 15 years, I have been training my Improvisation / Characterization techniques with a group of friends and parents using "make-believe" settings to teach youngsters how to improvise stories, characters and plot events through play. Having to prepare regular lessons, exercises and stories has kept my craft fresh and taught me new aspects throughout the years.
I worked in a professional recording studio during and after high school where I learned about the equipment, electronics, audio, business, mixing, engineering and production of professional audio projects.
I use the Behringer MXL2008 mic/U-Phoria MUM2 with Audacity for my recording.
